Playing through these zones, each with their own unique but interconnected stories and refreshing designs, immediately brought me back to how I felt when I played vanilla World of Warcraft and some of its earliest expansions. Instead of being a hero with near god-like powers like in recent years, players are back to being more grounded adventurers (going on more grounded, but still enticing adventures).
Take breaks. Unless you're straight up no-lifing it over a weekend or something, this leveling process is going to take ~40 hours. But any time you do need to step away, log out. That tiny little bit of rested exp is insignificant...but you never know when something might come up and you'll have to leave for a longer period of time than you expected. Better to be logged out and safe(especially with War Mode on) than AFK waiting for a d/c. Plus, you'll need to stretch, eat, shower, and maybe sleep. XD
In addition, you'll want to pick up leg and shoulder enchants and have them in your bags. These enchants have a level requirement of 80/85, but can't be placed on items above iLVL 136. You can get around this by having a level 85-100 character apply the enchant before mailing it to the character you're leveling, thus getting use of the enchants before level 85.

I found that in most cases, I could pick the zones I liked and skip everything else. It was slower, but I still wasn't forced to do quest zones I hated (and, notably, I skipped the entire Cataclysm expansion's content -- sorry, Thrall.) I did do dungeons, both in group finder and by two-boxing (more on that in a moment as well), but only once for the quests, and mostly to clear what felt like an awfully long slog from 40 to level 80.
We’ve got precedent for what happens to commodity prices at the beginning of an expansion: They skyrocket. In early Legion, flasks went for between 1,500 and 2,000 gold, which was about the equivalent of a dollar and change. If the cash value of flasks holds with current gold pricing, Battle for Azeroth flasks could be selling for an unprecedented 7,500 to 10,000 gold in September.
In my opinion, Zygor makes the best WoW leveling guides. They have been around for more than 10 years, which shows their commitment to maintaining and updating their guides to provide you with an optimized leveling path for any class and race, whether it’s Horde or Alliance. Zygor is an addon that includes a waypoint arrow and a separate window with instructions that, taken together, show you step-by-step how to level your character to 120, FAST. You’ll know exactly what to do at all times. It’s also very easy to jump in at any level; you don’t have to start exactly at level 1 or 110 or anything. It’s a bit more expensive than the other options, but I’d say it’s definitely worth it.
Arms is the best leveling spec for Warrior in Battle For Azeroth. Fury is a great single target spec, but lacks the AoE needed to compete with Arms. You will be striving to fight 2-3 enemies at a time for optimal results and Arms has the perfect spells and talents for the job. My tests have shown the average amount of mobs you will fight at once is around 2.3, which makes Sweeping Strikes amazing for leveling. Perhaps my favorite combination in the game is Avatar + Ravager + Sweeping Strikes. It slices down large packs of mobs in seconds.
Heirlooms can certainly be used with our guides! You may find yourself getting ahead of the guide. If you start doing gray quests, just skip ahead to a later zone. The guide is just that - a *GUIDE* not a rule, as many people seem to think. Feel free to skip parts! Watch out for quest chains, though, especially in the last part of the 50-60 section. Hopefully we'll have some awesome features in our new addon that will make it easier to skip around!

“For more than a year in WOTLK I did nothing but raiding and some dailies here and there. I leveled a bit on a few alts and, as all are aware, it cost to support alts sometimes. I did dailies, and LFG quests until the Dungeon finder came along. I did 2 or 3 randoms then logged off if not a raid night. I was bored with the grind of dailies and wanted a change.
Most classes in World of Warcraft start at first level, but Death Knights and Demon Hunters are exceptions. They start at level 55 and 98, respectively. This alone can shave a huge chunk of time from your leveling experience. Of course, it only works if you want to play a Death Knight or Demon Hunter, but they’re both solid classics that can dish out damage or tank in a group.

Another problem is that gold isn’t a finite resource; the game is constantly creating more of it. Gold is created every time someone completes a quest, kills an enemy or sells trash to a vendor. Some gold is siphoned back out of the game economy by repair bills, flight paths and a “tax” on auction house sales. Occasionally, a lot of gold is destroyed when someone buys a pricey vanity mount from a vendor. But gold is created quicker than it is destroyed, and it becomes less valuable as it becomes less scarce.
Heirlooms are special pieces of armor that level up with your character, so they have stats that are always respectable for your character’s level (up to level 110). Heirlooms that fit the head, shoulder, chest, legs, and back armor slot offer an experience bonus. The total bonus is 45 percent if you have them all. It’s also possible to acquire a ring that adds another 5 percent, but you must win a fishing contest acquire it, and that can take some time.
101+ At this point you'll start taking a penalty on quest/bonus objective experience for every level past 100. Treasures, however, remain worth their full value all the way through level 105, at which point they'll be worth something like 15% less, and then another 15% more when you ding 106. I recommend that you stop questing/gathering entirely, and collect all the treasures you can stomach, only avoiding any annoying to reach ones inside caves or behind elites/rares(where scaling does bizarro things).
If you already have a high level character or a friend willing to give you gold then you can purchase Heirloom items. These items are bound to account and are accessible through the Heirlooms tab using Shift+P. The benefits of these Heirloom items is that they scale with your level keeping your gear up to date without you having to worry about upgrades, and they provide a significant XP bonus.

I loved my other toons (have 1 of each class) but the quest/level grinds were beginning to get to me and soon they fell by the wayside of my play time. I started with Dailies and Events guide and once I started seeing how good the app was, I’ve never turned back and picked up all the Alliance mods. I’m now almost fully level 85’s with all my toons. Only 1 level on my hunter and 4 levels on my warrior until I’m done.

This generally means the next step should be done while working on the current step. This means every "start working on" or "continue working on" will end in a ":". But this is used with other occasions as well, so keep this in mind.
With 8.0, Blizzard introduced World of Warcraft’s second ever stat squish — where all the numbers in the game are lowered across the board for clarity. While it may make the game easier to read, it has caused some serious in-game problems. Since the patch, Blizzard has been throwing out hotfixes each day, fixing things that the stat squish either forgot to alter or simply broke.
Again it breaks down to personal preference. I didn’t have an issue doing them at 120 on the toons I did them on. I felt like they took you out of the way when I just wanted to finish the zones. Too each his own. I liked it because I would finish the quest then be right there at the hubs for the quest on the new continent after I’ve finished all the quest on the first continent.
The Horde levels 50-60 guide has been rewritten and revamped. My 1-60 Horde leveling guide is now completely updated for the 1.12 Drums of War patch. As you can see it is about 15% larger than the 40-50 guide (single largest guide page yet). There is also a lot of route changes. I moved the entire Silithus section from level 55 to level 58, which allowed me to include a lot more quests for that zone. There is also a lot of other improvement to the route, including adding a lot more quests into the guide, mostly from Moonglade, Silithus and Eastern Plaguelands. This will make the final level 59 grind much shorter.
Something to keep in mind as well is that this will make enchanting materials more valuable, since it is likely most players will now simply scrap their boe greens instead of getting them disenchanted. Also redundant dungeon/raid gear can be scrapped rather than traded to the (guild) enchanter in the run. Less stuff gets disenchanted, meaning there will be less ecnhanting materials, meaning their value will rise. All the more reason to DE rather than scrap as an ecnhanter.
