Zygor's Leveling and Loremaster guide is the ultimate tool for players who want to level up quickly and earn the coveted Loremaster achievement. This guide will lead you quest by quest through every zone, telling you exactly where you need to go, how to complete objectives, and everything else required to reach level 120 in the fastest time possible.
Then 8.0 came along and turned everything on its head. Most of the techniques and shortcuts discovered, after 7.3.5 introduced scaling, were nerfed into oblivion. Many of the old techniques were confirmed by myself, first hand, to no longer work. I'm hoping that this thread can serve a similar purpose as the old thread, and gather as much data as possible on the fastest methods under the new system, and facilitate as many different perspectives and opinions on speed leveling with constructive discussion.

Certain locations in World of Warcraft – primarily inns, capital cities, and private instanced zones like your garrison or class order hall – are rest areas. Players have ever thought that Warfront are one of the most important and anticipated feature. Warfronts are a 20-man, PvE, large-scale cooperative mode meant to represent the large-scale war on the homefront, as members of each faction fight for control of a location critical to their war efforts. But now the Warfronts seem less worth players' attention.


Blizzard changed the leveling experience at the same time those new characters became available. It used the scaling tech available in its later zones to make broad swaths of older areas available to a much wider level range, so that characters could choose what quests or zones they wanted to do and stay there, rather than out-leveling them too quickly.
If you want to spend as little time on your alt as possible - just do Legion Invasions. You can use sites like (https://wow.gameinfo.io/invasions) to track when the next invasion will be. Log in, fly to the closest world quest, and once there - right-click on the quest's name in your quest log and "Find Group". Sign up for some group, or if there's none - just start your own immediately, and people will come to you. It is 10 times faster to do invasion quests in a group. Once that particular quest is complete - leave the group, and fly to the next one, where you should find another group. Don't expect the group from one world quest to follow you to the next. Then you simply log out until next invasion. You can do 1-2 invasions a day, and each invasion will give you about a level or 1.5 of experience, if you have full heirloom gear. Each invasion will take about 20 minutes.
Fifth: As for Azerite Armor, I recommend getting the Chest first from Magini and if you do Vol'dun first, the first piece you can get will be a Head and the final piece from the zone with be Shoulders. That will give you all 3 pieces of Azerite Armor when you leave the first zone which will help out. If you are leveling a different spec from what you plan on playing, (i.e leveling as a dps when you plan to heal/tank) you will receive at least 2 pieces from every zone then 1 piece from starting the War Campaign that you can choose your Main Spec trait for. Pick the traits that will help you level the fastest.
Once again, as soon as you hit 70 - I recommend to go and learn faster flying. This speeds up your questing A LOT, and is worth the time and gold. It will cost 4500 if you go to the capitol, or 5000 if you prefer Shattrath/Dalaran, because you will not have reputation with them at that point. This price will sadly be above what a totally new character can afford, if you don't have any Main. But you should go and buy flying as soon as you have enough money.
These two expansions are virtually identical in terms of exp/h. I personally favor Mount Hyjal, and think it's very slightly faster. But if you know Jade Forest well you can just as easily keep up there. Ultimately you'll end up doing both anyway, so it's mostly academic. Every time I've tested Valley of Four Winds or Deepholme, or any other zone in MOP/CATA's level range, they were worse exp/h. You should not even need to complete both zones to ding 91, so it's more important to just pick one and go.
So, the initial leveling process is probably the longest it has been in an expansion in a long time. My first play through, it took me about 12 hours to finish every single quest in every single zone. Needless to say, due to leveling 7 times, my last leveling was done by a ret pally and took me just over 8 hours and completed every quest in the Horde zones. There are a few tips I would like to give for leveling in BFA.
Even though the guide was developed with a hunter, the guide can be followed by any class.  Except you have to do your class's quests which aren't a whole lot.  I do have full intention to make my guide friendly with all classes in the future by listing all of their steps as well.  There will be a toggle that allows you to show which class's steps you want to see in the guide.  But this is coming later.
Gold in WoW has value based on the time it takes a player to earn it. The various methods of farming gold, such as growing herbs, yield maybe 20,000 gold per hour. That means at a price of 100,000 gold, a token represents about five hours of grinding, or offers a wage of $3 per hour. The idea of gold being worth a certain amount per hour is a useful way of framing this discussion, in fact.
My second least-favorite part: leveling ranges. Zones are divided into leveling ranges; some are for levels 10-60, others for levels 58-80, and so on. On the surface, that appears to make sense; while there are odd moments where you're presented with the content from two expansions at once, it does mean that you're more or less going through content in order, at least by expansion if not by level.

While this income stream dried up when Legion came out in 2016, Draenor garrisons multiplied the total amount of gold in circulation many times. During the Mists of Pandaria expansion, you were rich if you had a few hundred thousand gold but, after Warlords, rich meant being a multimillionaire. However, the impact of this extra gold was blunted for a while, because WoW Tokens were redeemable only for more game time until February 2017, limiting how much gold rich players were willing to sell.
By constantly doing quests, you will experience a very different game than if you just level through pure grinding. You'll be out there making a contribution towards the Alliance or the Horde. Doing these quests takes you through the heart of the game's story AND provides the fastest rate of experience. The biggest backdrop of Battle for Azeroth is the budding of a war between the Horde and the Alliance, two opposing factions that have more or less been on the same side of various struggles for a number of years. The separation of the two factions was refreshing and reminded me of leveling through vanilla WoW with unique zones given to each side (at least at the beginning).

Patch 5.3, like all new updates, is attracting a throng of returning players, many of which will be undergeared and willing to spend Gold to catch up with the rest. While the profits might not be as lucrative as with the new items, there may be less competition here. The key here is scanning the market for in-demand leveling gear and producing the right amount to avoid getting stuck with an unsellable stack of outdated items.

Pick druid, paladin or monk. Get heirlooms if you can. Grind mobs until level 5 - 6. Start doing the easy "just kill these mobs outside town" quests until 15. Queue rdf as every role and do every dungeon you can (with heirlooms you could probably solo the dungeons) while you travel to higher lever zones. Keep doing the simplest quests while you're waiting for rdf (which shouldn't be long). I leveled a druid to 100 once doing this in maybe a day /played, but he was also rested for most of the process.

My toon was a monk, a class that gets extra experience for an hour at a time. I picked at it more than I have in the past, so I benefitted more from the 150 percent "rested" experience bonus. If I wanted to run a dungeon for quests, I fired up a high-level character on a second account and dragged my little toon through them. And having leveled dozens of characters to 100 and 110, I knew every zone and every objective.
This whole affair has caused myriad arguments with the community, with some old-timers noting that the time-to-level increase is a joke compared to Vanilla, and newcomers sharing their point of view that World of Warcraft is slower than a lot of other games on the market. The Horde levels 50-60 guide has been rewritten and revamped.  My 1-60 Horde leveling guide is now completely updated for the 1.12 Drums of War patch.  As you can see it is about 15% larger than the 40-50 guide (single largest guide page yet).  There is also a lot of route changes.  I moved the entire Silithus section from level 55 to level 58, which allowed me to include a lot more quests for that zone.  There is also a lot of other improvement to the route, including adding a lot more quests into the guide, mostly from Moonglade, Silithus and Eastern Plaguelands.  This will make the final level 59 grind much shorter.

I personally like it but I have healed for 11 years. This will actually be the first xpac where I actually main a DPS (UDK) ever in my history of WoW. The thing I actually really like about pally is they have an Azerite trait that gives the whole group a mini stampeding roar whenever you use golden pony. That is a great utility for a class to have. If I decide to not do UDK I will be doing HPal because it’s the one healer I have never mained.
You should try and quest efficiently - pulling several mobs if you can handle it, using your burst cooldowns while questing to kill everything faster. Many people would think that a 10-minute cooldown like Bloodlust is useless in open world, but you can do a "kill-15-mobs" quest in like 30 seconds if you pull a lot and use it. A free quest every 10 minutes is not that bad.

WoW gold is a limited resource and is hard to come by even though gold can be earned by various ways. Auto looting a mob will increase leveling speed for the expansion. to enable it = Esc, Interface, Controls, Enable Auto Loot. I'm including this because sometimes the simple things are missed. Excess Potion of Accelerated Learning: Acquired in your Garrison (part of the Warlords of Draenor expansion), this gives you a 20-percent bonus to experience from killing monsters and finishing quests. It lasts one hour, but you can buy it multiple times and use it back-to-back. Alliance players buy it from Sergeant Crowler, horde players buy it from Sergeant Grimjaw. Does not work above level 99.
Again, I play on Hoard side. I had an issue with the War Campaign guide. The guide suggests I pick up the “Wanted” posts at each outpost. I was not able to pick up these until I had finished unlocking all three outposts and the World Quests. I was able to proceed with some of the guide by manually double checking them to X, but the guide didn’t work quite right after that. I had to go back and pick up the next Outpost then it would be ok, until at the next location I needed to X the Wanted quests again.
So this is all from my understanding but with the scrapper it seems to be that you get materials based on the type of gear that you are scrapping. I.E I got more ore from scrapping plate gear and more cloth from scrapping cloth gear. Trinkets, weapons, and rings give different types of material and I don’t quite know the layout for that. Personally I would just DE everything as an enchanter. I stressed how important it is to trade with other players to get the materials needed to do all 11 warfront quest and you will obviously have more materials to create the enchantment that is necessary for the turn in to make trades with.
