I hope this information helps a lot for players that haven’t had the chance to play Beta and gives you an idea of what you should be trying to accomplish your first 2 weeks of BFA. If you plan on pulling all-nighters, please don’t be reckless and over strain yourself. People have died from lack of sleep. If you want some tips on staying up I recommend taking a nap before launch time, eating a healthy meal full of protein before launch, snacking on fruit and nuts (my personal go to is clementine oranges and almonds) while leveling, if you do decide to drink energy drinks I do recommend not getting the ones packed with sugar (I prefer no sugar no carb Redbull and G-Fuel) and making sure you drink at least 2 bottles of water in between every energy drink so you stay hydrated and don’t crash. A good time to get some sleep is after you finish all the questing and you are 120 which again will take average played 10+ hours. Again, please don’t be stupid and end up hurting yourself over a video game; everyone must sleep at some point, so you won’t be too behind the curve.
The Horde 12-25 (Barrens + Stonetalon Mountains) guide has been rewritten and revamped.  In addition, there has been numerous tweaks to the speedrun route to make things faster and easier to follow.  Also, in case you haven't noticed I am now adding about 40% more info per step and redoing all the images.  Unlike with my previous vanilla guides, I am now giving a brief explanation of where to go and what to do with each step along with any other helpful tips.

According to Game Director Ion Hazzikostas “We are seeing the same sort of discrepancies that folks in this thread and others have pointed out,” said Hazzikostas. “But we still have yet to pinpoint the exact aspect of scaling that we failed to account for. We want to understand why the numbers are off and fix the underlying cause: Were stats on gear reduced too much? Some aspect of creature armor or other combat calculations? Are our baseline values accurate, but the shape of the scaling curve wrong such that it’s particularly far off the mark in the 60-80 range?

A: The gold value of a Token will be determined dynamically based on supply and demand. When you put a Token up for sale, you’ll be quoted the amount of gold you’ll receive upon a successful sale. If you then decide to place the Token up for sale, that amount is locked in, and the gold will be sent to your mailbox after another player purchases your Token.
One useful data point is the cost of gold from illicit services. The WoW Token has taken a bite from their business, but these people are still out there, botting trade goods and stealing and pillaging accounts despite Blizzard’s continuing attempts to ban cheating accounts and confiscate illegal gold. The going rate for gold from these outfits is about $15 per 100,000 gold.

As is true of most web sites, the Company gathers certain information automatically and stores it in log files. This information includes internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, internet services provider (ISP), referring/exit pages, operating system, date/time stamp, and clickstream data. The Company uses this information to analyze trends, to screen for fraud, to administer the Company's sites, to track users' movements around the web sites and to gather demographic information about the Company's user base as a whole.
“The biggest struggle of overhauls like item scaling is being able to exhaustively test it,” he said. “You can’t expect any group of a few hundred people to go in and hit every piece of content that’s ever been developed over the past 15 years of World of Warcraft. That is difficult and challenging to do. What we did was listen to a lot of feedback from the PTR, what those changes looked like there. “The community is a great resource for helping us understand what we missed, and we were able to develop technology to be agile about fixing the problems very quickly in a live environment when we did come across them. We did have a few hiccups when we launched the patch in terms of scaling issues, but a lot of those were addressed rather quickly and that’s due to the technology we’ve developed to hot-fix our servers and almost anything in the game without down-time.”

Most BfA Alchemy recipes have 3 ranks. Rank 2 reduce the materials required to create a recipe, and Rank 3 have a chance to create multiple potions/flask etc. Higher rank recipes also give skill points much longer, so it will be a lot cheaper to level Alchemy if you first get Revered with the new BfA factions, because you can use cheaper recipes for longer.


The community was apparently frustrated with Blizzard for a lack of communication concerning the issue, but it looks like that was due to the fact that their heads were down as they worked to understand the problem. It was explained that they didn't want to just roll out a quick bandage, as that would likely cause unforeseen issues down the road. Instead, they're crunching the numbers and digging into the code in the hopes of discovering a legitimate source of the problem.
Although WoW currency can be found through quests, fallen enemies or the dreaded "farming" process, doing it the conventional way is time-consuming. Considering the upcoming release of the Legion expansion pack in August of 2016, stocking up on gold is more important than ever. This way, you can spend less time farming and more time buying everything you need to tackle the next set of challenges.

Full disclosure on my time with Battle for Azeroth thus far: I leveled a Horde character to 120 and completed all three Zandalar storylines plus put about 20 hours into end-game content. I have also leveled an Alliance character partway through Kul Tiras and completed portions of the Stormsong Valley and Tiragarde Sound storylines. My only experience in Drustavar has been through the eyes of the Horde thus far.
I used fully upgraded and enchanted heirlooms; missing only the fishing ring. Leveling from 1-20 took ~3 hours, at which point I immediately turned on War Mode for the duration. I rarely encountered enemy players, and when I did they almost always left me alone. But the few times I did get ganked, the total cost in time was insignificant. Maybe a total of 5 deaths from ganks in the entire 40 hours.
Like most of those experienced players, I had all the benefits, including a full set of heirloom armor, which helps to boost the experience my character would get (though that bump was reduced at the same time the other changes were made.) I had a guild, the ability to fly in every zone, and pets and toys that made a pile of things more convenient. My new character started at level 20, as all allied races do.
Selling gold for cash was, for a long time, against the game’s rules. But that didn’t stop large, sophisticated operations from springing up to take advantage of the opportunity to make real-world cash. The outfits that sold gold to players started out by paying foreign workers very low wages to endlessly grind the game, but they later started procuring their gold through quicker and more disruptive methods.
Instead, go to Timeless Isle and take the portal to Gorgrond. From there, fly to your respective faction starting zone(Frostfire Ridge or SMV), go to your garrison, and do the quests to unlock your garrison(A short quest chain beginning down near the water where you'd otherwise start after the Dark Portal scenario). For now DO NOT collect any more treasures than absolutely needed to buy 1 or 2 experience potions! Treasures continue to be worth superior exp/h all the way to level 107!!! You don't want to begin collecting them until lvl 100 or later.
Lastly: The zone order I recommend for Horde is Vol’dun- Zuldazar- Nazmir. Vol’dun is definitely the most challenging of the bunch and having the use of your Legion gear and leggos will smooth this zone out. Nazmir is the easiest of the bunch which is nice when things start to get a little grindy past 116. For Alliance, I recommend Drustvar- TS- Stormsong. Same logic as the Horde side, in my opinion Drustvar is the hardest and Stormsong is the easiest for when it gets grindy. I would recommend you waiting to do any of the War Campaign until you are capped because it just takes you out of the way. I also recommend not killing a single rare mob or picking up a single treasure because in my experience it is just not even remotely worth it. The gear scales up on the rare mobs so its smarter to keep them till 120 anyways. After you are done leveling, I do recommend taking the time to do all the quest at the Faction Outpost in your enemy territory. They do provide rep for the Honorbound which helps. Most of them are quite easy. If you do not level in Warmode, you will usually hit 114 from your first zone, 117 from your second, and cap 120 about 2/3 in your final zone.
Congratulations on reaching Level 120! There are a myriad of new things to do. The first thing you should do is head to your faction hub ship where you have been doing your mission table quests and footholds to pick up and complete the quests necessary to unlock World Quests. World Quests will provide you an opportunity to grind reputation levels, acquire gear, and gather Azerite.
