But when it comes time to level another character for any reason, this pace is going to make me think twice. And that's a shame. I'm not someone who gets any particular joy out of instant-boosting a character to max level. There are dozens of zones -- no exaggeration -- that I wouldn't mind experiencing again, if I could do a few of them at a time and feel like I was making meaningful progress on another level-110 in the process.
As always, I will monitor and update this guide as new information comes in. If I've gotten anything glaringly and completely wrong, just tell me with as much data as possible. The idea is to find the fastest possible leveling method, NOT to argue about how good or bad individuals are. If you have hard data, post it! As Blizzard calls it stats were "squished," and now players are finding it harder to level with that same scaling system. It's a two-fold issue, and game director Ion Hazzikostas isn't quite sure how to fix it yet. In a massive forum post several days ago he plainly explains the issue from the start, noting that "the feel and pacing of the level-up experience is a top priority for the team."
Full disclosure on my time with Battle for Azeroth thus far: I leveled a Horde character to 120 and completed all three Zandalar storylines plus put about 20 hours into end-game content. I have also leveled an Alliance character partway through Kul Tiras and completed portions of the Stormsong Valley and Tiragarde Sound storylines. My only experience in Drustavar has been through the eyes of the Horde thus far.
Fully rested experience (this is the blue color your experience bar takes instead of purple) grants 200% more experience per kill. Quest experience does not work the same as mob experience. Instead of just using the rested bonus, quest experience pushes the bar further upwards extending the rested bonus. Say if half your experience bar is blue. If you turn in 10 quests all at one the normal experience from them all could boost a character a full level. Unlike mobs where the experience gain will use up said bonus - the quests merely 'push' the bar further. Doing this could net you a level and still have the 200% bonus for mob kills applying to milk the rest bonus.
While Leveling your characters in BfA you'll also need to complete the new War Campaign quests in order to unlock world quests and the ability to venture to the other factions contintent. We cover all of this in our War Campaign guides and with out new Guide Tabs feature you can have both Leveling and War Campaign guides loaded at the same time to easily switch between them.
5% was admittedly an exaggeration, just felt that low. I'd say it was probably closer to the 30-40% range. It was Artifacts of the Blacksilt, spent a good 10-15 minutes killing Blacksilt Seers to get two damn idols to drop. A quest that had me killing Elder Brown Bears for bear flanks also took quite a while, though that was less due to drop rate and more due to how spread out they were.

Many people have asked whether we recommend leveling as Enhancement or Elemental. There’s no definitive answer here; it depends entirely on your comfort, your gear options, and if you’re in a group or solo. Enhancement benefits more from Honor Talents in open world leveling, and Elemental has stronger AOE damage for mass pulling. Feel free to experiment with both specs.
Most heirlooms only work in a limited level range in their default form and must be upgraded to work at higher levels. That costs gold, and you’ll need around 30,000 gold to outfit yourself with a fully upgraded set (counting only those that give you bonus experience). You may need to spend some time on a boosted character to acquire the gold you need to outfit another character with heirlooms, but it’s well worth the effort.
":" - Any time a step ends in a ":" instead of a "." means that the next step is part of the current step you are on. This generally means the next step should be done while working on the current step. This means every "start working on" or "continue working on" will end in a ":". But this is used with other occasions as well, so keep this in mind.

Si vous êtes en train d'XP sur une autre spécialisation que celle que vous prévoyez de jouer (comme DPS alors que vous prévoyez de jouer Tank/Heal), vous recevrez au moins 2 pièces à chaque zone, puis 1 pièce en commençant la Campagne de Guerre, lorsque vous choisirez votre Main Spé. Choisissez alors les traits qui vous aideront à gagner de l'expérience rapidement.
Dungeons still give too much experience. Yes, I'll get some hate mail for this. But due to the way dungeons -- especially at some levels -- scale, along with experience buffs, the fastest way from 1-110 now involves grinding one dungeon over and over and over again. It's the equivalent of the South Park "Make Love, Not Warcraft" episode, only instead of killing boars, you're killing endless worms in Ragefire Chasm or gnolls in The Stockades.
Level with a pet if you can because it will help keep you safe. If your pet is tanking all of the damage from the enemies you’re fighting, you won’t have to. The other reason is that pets are easier and cheaper to heal than you are. If you don’t have a pet, make sure you know how to use your defensive abilities. You can’t level quickly if you are dying all the time.
