The Horde levels 50-60 guide has been rewritten and revamped. My 1-60 Horde leveling guide is now completely updated for the 1.12 Drums of War patch. As you can see it is about 15% larger than the 40-50 guide (single largest guide page yet). There is also a lot of route changes. I moved the entire Silithus section from level 55 to level 58, which allowed me to include a lot more quests for that zone. There is also a lot of other improvement to the route, including adding a lot more quests into the guide, mostly from Moonglade, Silithus and Eastern Plaguelands. This will make the final level 59 grind much shorter.
14 Nov Slow or fast? Class? All of us have a dream or plan for Classic. I'm curious to know, how do you fellow forum members feel about the lvling experience in Classic? Do you want to speed lvl and get to end game as soon as possible or take your time? What class will you choose? The fastest lvler? The most self sufficient? The team specialist? Myself I'm so happy about feeling absolutely no need to rush and I look so much forward to slow laidback lvling, this time not a totally clueless virgin noob. I plan to be human, just like my very first char. Then rediscovering everything and also taking part of what I missed because I didn't start playing until mid TBC. Like the opening of AQ, such a glorious event! :D Hopefully Blizzard isn't patching too fast for me to take part. I'll be taking my time to read the quests and not use any questhelper. Stopping here and there to do some fishing. Inviting people to group up for questing whenever I can. I'm planning to be a mage, partly because of the social aspect. I'm sure I'll be asked for portals and food/water by randoms and that's perfectly fine, a chance to get to know many players and sort out leechers. Will they offer tip, ask if i need any help, trade me something they don't need etc or just take it and leave without even saying "thank you"? Maybe I'll take tailoring + some gathering profession, not decided yet. I want to do something that's useful not only to myself but to others, make some G on the process. As a mage I count on dying a lot... Doing dungeons the old way I really look forward to. Slow, no mindless silent killing squads in Vanilla. CC. Careful pulls. Group coordination necessary. No LFG or random kicks so people will rather stay until it's completed and we're doing it right, even if there are wipes. And finally, in some distant future, I'll hopefully get to raiding. By then hopefully with a full list of friendly players and in a good guild with like minded people. 40 man raids, so amazing! Correct me if I'm wrong, but mages would be needed in MC because of decurse and strong aoe, so there would be a spot for me. Counting on the vendor machine cooking but what the heck, making food and drink out of thin air is kind of cool. :)Eulalia35 14 Nov
Always sell all items on Auction House. If you are not sure about its value, then check the market. There are some risks that item won’t be sold and you will lose money just putting it on Auction House. Good idea to make bank low level characters and keep everything there until the weekend. All sales increasing on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Besides, you can advertise in a trade channel to inform people that an item you are selling has been put on Auction House.
15 Nov Any Alliance PvE guilds planned/remember me? Hello, I've seen a few posts about Horde PvP realm guilds and the odd Alliance PvP one. Are there any groups planning to form a guild on the Alliance side of a PvE realm? I am eager to make new connections and, whilst unlikely, possibly reconnect with people who I might have lost touch with accidentally over the fourteen or so years almost since I started my journey. Whilst only 33, I have the memory of an 116 year old so please forgive any inaccurately recalled information. I started my WoW journey in 2004 about a month after launch I believe it was, and I originally played on Nordrassil as Cernunnos, a Night Elf Hunter Herb/Alch. After a few weeks I found out that there was a sort of hidden community at work that loved WoW and I rerolled an identical character using the same name on Al'Akir to be with them. I remember playing in a raiding guild with Dizzybint and her husband for a long time. She had many alts using the 'Dizzy' theme and we spent a fair amount of time as a guild. When the guild sort of died after a while I started again on a new server. I didn't like PvP and had only picked Al'Akir to be with my work friends, and so I rerolled on Darkspear. My main was a female Night Elf Hunter called Amarynthia. I had a few alts, namely a female Night Elf Priest (Shadow) called Philyra, a Human Rogue called Kimil and a female Dwarf Paladin called Rhamnusia. I had a good friend on Darkspear, a male Dwarf Hunter called Astorr. He vanished one day, never came back and to this day I don't know if he's even ok. I spent the bulk of my time on Dramaspear and did a lot of hardcore raiding with my main and alts. At one point I was in Ez (which if memory serves was quite a big name back then) with Bishimon as leader and was always top 3 DPS with Amarynthia. For reasons I no longer remember, I ended up moving all of my high level characters to Saurfang with two friends I had met in the early days of Vanilla. I didn't spend long there and don't remember it at all. After a lot of people quit, I decided to reroll AGAIN when Cataclysm came out. I decided that since it was a 'new' or redesigned world, I'd experience it afresh from level 1. I rerolled as a female Human Paladin called Airmid who has been my main ever since Catacylsm. I transferred all of my high level characters who kept their names, apart from Kimil who became Erebes. After many years of struggling with her identity, Airmid took the difficult decision to undergo gender reassignment surgery earlier this year, becoming Mandanu (in truth for unknown reasons. So, are there any PvE Alliance guilds planned? I think I want to rediscover ever square millimetre of Azeroth at my own pace socially before getting into raiding again. Anyone from the old days who might remember me?Mandanu6 15 Nov
14 Nov Will I gimp my raid by playing Shadow Priest? I have a burning passion for shadow priest in vanilla and I mostly want to raid. I've been talking to some people I know and some of them say that they would never bring a shadow priest into raid and others say that they absolutely want 1 shadow priest in their raid group. Why the mixed reactions? From my understanding, shadow priests in classic are mainly brought to raids to buff the damage output of your warlocks with Shadow Weaving. How many warlocks would a raid need to make 1 shadow priest worth bringing over a mage for example, and am I gimping the raids DPS by taking up that raid spot?Luminé39 14 Nov

“WoW has been a huge game,” Brack continued. “It’s had a huge community impact, it’s created a lot of bonds and friendships. Not being able to experience that game felt like a bit of a tragedy. So that was part of the lens as well was like ‘hey this game should exist, we should find a way for this game to exist!’ And now we’ve done the work and it will exist, and you saw the release date at the end of August, we’re really excited to bring a multi-year journey to that kind of conclusion.”
Even though the guide was developed with a hunter, the guide can be followed by any class. Except you have to do your class's quests which aren't a whole lot. I do have full intention to make my guide friendly with all classes in the future by listing all of their steps as well. There will be a toggle that allows you to show which class's steps you want to see in the guide. But this is coming later.
An advice for those who are trying to compete monopolizers: you cannot beat them by selling for less if they follow right steps. You should do opposite: sell for more. Because market will come down if the price goes unreasonably high. You can set a bid on item for the price it should cost and buy out price for higher than a monopolizer is selling. So, common buyer may get an item for the right price or monopolizer has to buy the item at his loss.
Nov 15 We ordered vanilla not vanilla with sprinkles 1. Sharding/Phasing was not a part of the classic experience. The launch surge and often times overwhleming population fighting over quest mobs and loot was impactful on a human level which brought people together to make parties so they weren't fighting or made people bitter rivals. And that ten minutes you spent competing with people to loot that bucket before it despawned for another few minutes was intense. 2. Loot trading was not a part of the classic experience. Ninja looting was a real thing, a crime you could commit which united the community up in arms against you, blacklisting you. That's a feature for modern WoW, not genuine classic. This is a recreation. Not a remaster. Not reforged. We ordered vanilla, not vanilla with sprinkles on it with modern hand holding baby coddling streamlined bogus. That's more suited to your modern WoW playerbase, not the millions waiting patiently for the game they knew and loved over a decade ago. I don't want to sound like an entitled brat, but when you advertise a product, don't change it behind the scenes. Please Blizzard, don't add these things. They kill aspects of what made classic wow such a special phenomenon that rallied people to make private servers in its honor. I'll go play one if this isn't authentic, because those unofficial servers would be more authentic.Rhystael95 Nov 15
Nov 15 Classic Box Cost Disappointed in the decision to bundle the subs and (at least for now) not have a separate Classic sub option. That said, can we at least get a separate box cost for access to classic? It would: - help alleviate temporary bloat and subsequent dead realms - servers would be more stable population-wise over time - remove the bulk of the need for sharding - give a solid idea of how many servers will be needed - allow blizzard to set up a separate classic forum for those with a monetary commitment - with a separate forum group, feedback would be limited to those with a vested interest The subs would still be bundled, but there would be a box cost, akin to what one would have to pay for BFA access. A very good to-the-point post from later on in this thread:... Another good post about how the current setup would necessitate sharding:... A decent (albeit short-term) alternative:...Brokenwind314 Nov 15
Frequently, we are getting many questions from our customers, especially after Blizzard’s announcement about World of Warcraft Classic at BlizzCon 2017, how to farm gold in Vanilla World of Warcraft, currently on Light’s Hope Lighbringer, Elysium Nighthaven and Twinstar Kronos-WoW realms. So, we are glad to share our experience and some knowledge with you. It might be not a discovery for someone but it is good to brush things up we all know and summarize them in one place. We are looking forward to publish more related articles to help and save your time. This guide may help you not in just Vanilla WoW but in any other expansion you are playing.
