Special note: At 110 it's almost certainly worthwhile to go and immediately get your Heart of Azeroth and first piece of Azerite gear from the BfA opening quest. It doesn't take long and provides pretty high power levels. I'd then return to Legion quests until 111 or even 112, since the power of these items will increase your kill speed significantly over the scaled enemies of BfA content.

First off, there is no reason to ignore the war Campaign, you need to do them to unlock world quest. Beside that, the way scaling works, war campaigns are easyer to do while leveling then at 120. Everything becomes alittel harder at 120, untill you get some gear, because of them scaling levels. Also, i did my leveling on a demon hunter in about 8-9 hours. I think i know what youtube video you talked about, and i strongly dissagree with him. One thing tho, total xp needed was buffed with 15% that in worse case would make me take 10hours, the way i did it.

Lastly: The zone order I recommend for Horde is Vol’dun- Zuldazar- Nazmir. Vol’dun is definitely the most challenging of the bunch and having the use of your Legion gear and leggos will smooth this zone out. Nazmir is the easiest of the bunch which is nice when things start to get a little grindy past 116. For Alliance, I recommend Drustvar- TS- Stormsong. Same logic as the Horde side, in my opinion Drustvar is the hardest and Stormsong is the easiest for when it gets grindy. I would recommend you waiting to do any of the War Campaign until you are capped because it just takes you out of the way. I also recommend not killing a single rare mob or picking up a single treasure because in my experience it is just not even remotely worth it. The gear scales up on the rare mobs so its smarter to keep them till 120 anyways. After you are done leveling, I do recommend taking the time to do all the quest at the Faction Outpost in your enemy territory. They do provide rep for the Honorbound which helps. Most of them are quite easy. If you do not level in Warmode, you will usually hit 114 from your first zone, 117 from your second, and cap 120 about 2/3 in your final zone.
Auto looting a mob will increase leveling speed for the expansion. to enable it = Esc, Interface, Controls, Enable Auto Loot. I'm including this because sometimes the simple things are missed. I, sadly, went 3/4 of the way through WoD not knowing that hitting the space bar for my mission tables is much MUCH faster than waiting it out. (i never claimed to be smart OKAY) =P 

Dugi’s leveling guides cover everything from level 1 to 120, for both Horde and Alliance, and any race and class you can think of. You get an addon that you load inside the game which shows you step-by-step how to get to the maximum level in a streamlined fashion. There’s even a waypoint arrow that shows you the direction you need to go, so you’re always on the right track. The addon instructs you which quests to pick up, where and how to do them, when to turn them in, and even other features as well. Dugi guides have been around since 2005, so they’re probably going to be around in the future as well, keeping everything up to date and current.
At Level 100, we recommend that you take the talent Unholy Frenzy. If you choose to take this talent over the other 2 options, then we recommend switching your Level 57 talent to Bursting Sores due to the great AoE synergy between these 2 talents. If you choose to use the talent Army of the Damned, which is an easier talent to play with, then we recommend staying with the Level 57 talent Ebon Fever.

First: Azeroth Auto Pilot is a fantastic addon for those who just want to get the leveling done and have 0 desire to read text and watch cutscenes. I have submitted a lot of feedback to the developer over the course of its creation and after doing a play through on both Horde and Alliance I can strongly recommend this addon. For those who want to watch cutscenes, I am somewhat positive that there is an option to not skip cutscenes. I strongly recommend trying this out once BFA launches because even if you don’t skip the cutscenes the proper pathing and skipping of quest text will save you a lot time. I would like to note that the only zone where I encountered an issue was in Vol’dun where the pathing seemed a little off from what would make logical sense, but I have submitted that feedback to the dev and hopefully he has corrected it. THIS ADDON IS COMPLETELY OPTIONAL AND IF YOU DON’T WANT TO USE IT YOU DON’T HAVE TO. IM JUST GIVING PEOPLE INFORMATION FOR THOSE WHO LEVEL ALTS/HAVE PLAYED THROUGH THE STORY BEFORE/OR JUST WANT TO GET LEVELING DONE ASAP.

At Level 78, you unlock the stat Mastery, which increases your Shadow damage. When you unlock this stat you should switch your level 56 talent from All Will Serve to Clawing Shadows, as it benefits more from the Mastery. The mechanical change when using Clawing Shadows is that you will be able to pop Festering Wounds from a distance. If you want to attack multiple targets with Clawing Shadows using Death and Decay's cleave effect, make sure you play the Death and Decay below your own feet instead of the target.


Literally just do quests as efficiently as you can. The difference between picking a perfect route and just doing whatever is like an hour, tops. I've already leveled 7 characters in bets because I won't be playing at launch (baby due in aug) and I've been under 12 hours on all but the first. I actually broke 10 on DH, but that's bcuz war mode and DH leech is OP, not because of a special route.
Allowing WoW Tokens to be used for Battle.net balance creates new demand for tokens. There are some players in WoW with lots of gold who have considerable excess even after paying for their subscriptions with tokens. There is a limit on the amount of subscription any player can use, and that amount of tokens doesn’t make a dent in the gold hoards held by some players. Now, assuming those players want to buy stuff in other Blizzard games, they have incentive to buy a lot more tokens.

Most of the time you spend leveling will involve questing and slaying monsters, but there’s also a lot of travel. Travel earns you little experience (you do gain a bit for discovering new areas), so it’s wise to keep travel to a minimum. The new level scaling system, which scales zones to your level within a preset range, helps with that. You can choose what zones you want to experience and stick with them until you finish their quests.

If you want to spend as little time on your alt as possible - just do Legion Invasions. You can use sites like (https://wow.gameinfo.io/invasions) to track when the next invasion will be. Log in, fly to the closest world quest, and once there - right-click on the quest's name in your quest log and "Find Group". Sign up for some group, or if there's none - just start your own immediately, and people will come to you. It is 10 times faster to do invasion quests in a group. Once that particular quest is complete - leave the group, and fly to the next one, where you should find another group. Don't expect the group from one world quest to follow you to the next. Then you simply log out until next invasion. You can do 1-2 invasions a day, and each invasion will give you about a level or 1.5 of experience, if you have full heirloom gear. Each invasion will take about 20 minutes.
Also note that power leveling is sometimes used to refer to paying someone else to level your character to cap as fast as possible (i.e. they power level for you); a distinction used by Blizzard is to refer to the paid leveling as "power leveling service." This behavior is against Blizzard's Terms of Service. Power leveling yourself, which this article covers, is perfectly acceptable.
Special mention is the Darkmoon Faire Top Hat and WHEE! buff. While not always available due to the DMF being inaccessible most of the month, if you happen to be leveling when the DMF is running, it might be worth your time to go and get these. AFAIK they do stack with heirlooms, although I have not personally tested it. Fair warning: These buffs do NOT stack with each other, and the hats disappear after the DMF goes away later in the month(unless you only log in when the faire is running).
Playing through these zones, each with their own unique but interconnected stories and refreshing designs, immediately brought me back to how I felt when I played vanilla World of Warcraft and some of its earliest expansions. Instead of being a hero with near god-like powers like in recent years, players are back to being more grounded adventurers (going on more grounded, but still enticing adventures).

Instead of just using the rested bonus, quest experience pushes the bar further upwards extending the rested bonus. Say if half your experience bar is blue. If you turn in 10 quests all at one the normal experience from them all could boost a character a full level. Unlike mobs where the experience gain will use up said bonus - the quests merely 'push' the bar further. Doing this could net you a level and still have the 200% bonus for mob kills applying to milk the rest bonus.

Fifth: World Quest are back and are still important for leveling your Heart of Azeroth and gaining rep. I do recommend you do these in Warmode for the additional bonuses but if you don’t like PvP I would at least suggest doing a clear of all the quest that don’t give AP in Normal mode then going back and clearing the ones that do give AP in Warmode for the bonus. Emissaries are back and work the same way though it is very important to hold off on any emissary quest that gives you gear until you are at least 310 item level. Once you hit 310 item level, the reward jumps to 340 loot instead of 325? (its somewhere around that area). Try to delay these the best you can, but don’t risk missing out on free loot.
This is also the reason why when I read in WoW forums of people skipping guide sections, due to being too low level I'm not agree and start ranting about it: it'll be a mess syncronizing with the guide and I've seen many people complaining about missing quests or accusing the guide for being innacurate, but not realizing that was their fault since they're skipping and missing a lot of quest chain requirement. Of course this apply if you're following a guide, believe me, it's very frustrating when you remain stuck in a guide section due to the reasons I've mentioned, more than doing grey quests (but they allow to be perfectly in sync with the guide) and goiing here and there to get the pre-requisite quests. 

Instead, go to Timeless Isle and take the portal to Gorgrond. From there, fly to your respective faction starting zone(Frostfire Ridge or SMV), go to your garrison, and do the quests to unlock your garrison(A short quest chain beginning down near the water where you'd otherwise start after the Dark Portal scenario). For now DO NOT collect any more treasures than absolutely needed to buy 1 or 2 experience potions! Treasures continue to be worth superior exp/h all the way to level 107!!! You don't want to begin collecting them until lvl 100 or later.

The Hearthstone has a cooldown of 30 minutes, but there’s a guild perk called Hasty Hearth that shaves the time by half, giving you a strong incentive to join a guild. Yes, even if it’s some random guild that invites you without warning. It may feel odd to join people you don’t know, but if they have Hasty Hearth (and most guilds do), joining can save you a lot of legwork.

Patch 5.3, like all new updates, is attracting a throng of returning players, many of which will be undergeared and willing to spend Gold to catch up with the rest. While the profits might not be as lucrative as with the new items, there may be less competition here. The key here is scanning the market for in-demand leveling gear and producing the right amount to avoid getting stuck with an unsellable stack of outdated items.


First up we have patch 7.3.5, which was implemented several months ago as a major shakeup to how leveling was approached. Instead of going from low to high level zones like the way the game had always operated, Blizzard opened up the map with more of a Guild Wars 2 type system -- you now have more of a choice of where to go with a scaling mechanic. But when combined with 8.0's massive stat overhaul, things got murky.
Second: I have found that the most effective way to level (which comes as no surprise to many) has been using the leggos KJBW and Sephuz’s. KJBW allows you to complete nuke down packs of mobs no problem on a 75 second cd and since the damage doesn’t fall off you can clear 10+ mobs in seconds.Edit KJBW has been nerfed to do half the damage that it normally did. It is now a 3.2k Nuke on 75 second cd that doesn't fall off. Though it is sightly more balanced, that does make me sad. I still believe that it is probably the best leggo still to level with but I will do some more research to confirm. Sephuz’s is nice for the MS boost and the proc is no joke. I highly recommend these for every class.
If you already have a high level character or a friend willing to give you gold then you can purchase Heirloom items. These items are bound to account and are accessible through the Heirlooms tab using Shift+P. The benefits of these Heirloom items is that they scale with your level keeping your gear up to date without you having to worry about upgrades, and they provide a significant XP bonus.
Again it breaks down to personal preference. I didn’t have an issue doing them at 120 on the toons I did them on. I felt like they took you out of the way when I just wanted to finish the zones. Too each his own. I liked it because I would finish the quest then be right there at the hubs for the quest on the new continent after I’ve finished all the quest on the first continent.
Take breaks. Unless you're straight up no-lifing it over a weekend or something, this leveling process is going to take ~40 hours. But any time you do need to step away, log out. That tiny little bit of rested exp is insignificant...but you never know when something might come up and you'll have to leave for a longer period of time than you expected. Better to be logged out and safe(especially with War Mode on) than AFK waiting for a d/c. Plus, you'll need to stretch, eat, shower, and maybe sleep. XD

With 8.0, Blizzard introduced World of Warcraft’s second ever stat squish — where all the numbers in the game are lowered across the board for clarity. While it may make the game easier to read, it has caused some serious in-game problems. Since the patch, Blizzard has been throwing out hotfixes each day, fixing things that the stat squish either forgot to alter or simply broke.
I made one for my guildies but its for the Horde leveling process. One tip that goes for both factions is that you dont need to do all 3 zones to hit 120. I did like 1 and than three quarters of another. But once your 120 you need friendly with all 3 of your factions new reps to unlock world quests so make sure you hit at least friendly with all 3 while your leveling.
